I created this forum ahead of the release of the Felis Planes Boeing 747-200 for X-Plane 11. Now that's been released I hope it's of value and useful to any simmers out there with an interest in the 747 Classic.
Initially the focus is on providing historical route and schedule data for those folks looking to recreate 747 Classic operations in X-Plane. Network and timetable data is provided, airline-by-airline, for the 1970s, 1980s and early 1990s, by which time the 747 Classics were being replaced in top-tier airline service by the 747-400.

06-SEP-21 - Now available is historic IFR scenery for X-Plane. This will effectively replace the default X-Plane aeronautical data so that navigation aids, ILS, runways, etc match Europe as it was in 1970 (limited 12 airport test) or 1980. The 1980s scenery currently includes about 125 airports, with a few Caribbean 747 destinations so you can run Transatlantic as it was done nearly half a century ago. Coverage is being expanded regularly. pdf charts are available in the airport scenery folders, and enroute (airway) data will follow shortly. Find out more here
Area navigation (RNAV) became mandatory around the turn of the century, but prior to that airways, arrival/departure and approach procedures were all defined by ground-based navigation aids. If you like your cockpit without a GPS, prefer a VOR to a CDU, and aren't a slave to the Magenta Line this will be for you. The project is an ongoing work-in-progress. If you're handy with WED and would like to help please drop me an email at 747classic@btinternet.com.

Here's a composite view showing the MIP and glareshield panel development. Overhead and pedestal are still WIP and I'll add those to this image soon.
More information on Air Manager can be found at the Siminnovations website. Check them out, it's one of the most capable yet unknown sim addons, and in 40 years of flight simming Air Manager is the one piece of software that's given me by far the most value for money.
[NEWS - 29-JAN-2022]
I've re-written the Air Manager main instrument panel for the FlyJSim 737-200 quite extensively over the last month or so, based on what I learnt making the 747-200 panels. They're just being packaged up and instructions written ready for release in the next day or so. They will be payware given the amount of work that's gone into them. As these (and the 727) aren't 747 Classic territory I've started a new sister forum at XP-Classic and hope you'll head over to that to check out what's coming available. I've got a big project covering scheduled jet routes of 1985 underway and if that proves popular I'll do the same for the mid-70s.

30-JUL-21. Now being posted here ahead of the Felis release is Air Manager instrumentation for the 747-200. The Main Instrument Panels and Glareshield are almost complete and work is progressing on the pedestal and overhead panels. This picture gives an idea of how the Captain's side will look. The aim is to provide full-screen (and almost full size) external instrumentation, for cockpit building. The panels can be used to drive the Felis 742 across a network, and Air Manager allows simple interaction with switches, LEDs and stepper motors through Arduino. These instruments will also overcome a major X-Plane deficiency and allow use of custom Magnetic Variation data so that historic charts can be used correctly.
