Schedule Data is formatted as follows:
FT10 74F 7 LAX 05:00 10:50 ORD 12:05 15:15 BOS 18:00 06:55 FRA
FT10 74F 7 LAX 05:00 10:50 ORD 12:05 15:15 BOS 18:00 06:55 FRA
FT10 - Flight Number - FT = Flying Tiger Line
74F - Aircraft Type (see codes below)
7 - Day(s) of Operation of First Sector. 1=Monday, 2=Tuesday, 3=Wednesday, 4=Thursday, 5=Friday, 6=Saturday, 7=Sunday. "X" means a flight does not operate on a particular day or days.
LAX - Originating Airport IATA Code - LAX = Los Angeles/International
05:00 - Departure time from LAX (local time)
10:50 - Arrival Time (local time)
ORD - Arrival Airport IATA Code - ORD = Chicago/O'Hare
Schedule and airport data follows for each subsequent sector, so in this example FT10, flown by a 747 Freighter operates from Los Angeles to Chicago, then to Boston and finally to Frankfurt. It departs Los Angeles at 05:00 local time on Sundays and finally arrives in Frankfurt at 06:00 local time on Mondays.
Schedule Data may not be published for some sectors. Usually this is because the airline did not have traffic rights (permission to carry passengers or cargo) between certain airports. For example this Cathay Pacific route:
CX200 747 146 LGW 10:15 xx:xx BAH 20:30 08:50 HKG
Cathay did not have traffic rights to carry passengers between London and Bahrain (that was the domain of the local carriers British Airways and Gulf Air), so the arrival time is marked as xx:xx. Some airports are shown with xx:xx for both arrival and departure times. Those are pure Technical (Tech) Stops, which were refuelling stops only. As aircraft ranges and capabilities have improved significantly over the years the Tech Stop has become an increasingly rare necessity.
